❤️ The TWC Effect – Our brides, their way ❤️

Jennifer  and Jordan planned the perfect bash for their big day and didn’t let the weather rain on their parade! The loved up duo celebrated their nuptials with their loved ones back on the beautiful beach where their engagement began and their are taking us alone too…

How did you meet?

Jordan saw me dancing in a show at Sheesh in Chigwell. He then found me on Instagram and dropped into my DMs. We met up for a date and the plan was to go dancing together as Jordan loves swing and Charleston however on the way to the dance class we walked through soho and stopped in a bar. Cut a long story short we never made it to the dance class and the first date was a disaster.

Was it love at first sight?

For me, yes! I knew straight away Jordan was my man but him no. We laugh about it so much because I asked him out first and he said no!

Who proposed and how? Lovely details, please!

Jordan proposed to me on the island of Holbox in Mexico on Christmas Day 2021. He took me to Mexico as a Christmas present, everyone back home knew he was going to propose. It was on a secluded beach at the edge of a nature reserve, super secluded. It was really beautiful, we where both laying down sunbathing and for ages he was trying to get my attention to look at the box in the sand which was shaped like a piece of wood! It was a surprise but surprisingly the night before I had a dream about getting married so I mentioned it that morning to Jordan! He thought I had an inclination but I never, it was just a random dream.

Did you have a theme for your wedding? How did it come about?

The wedding was super relaxed, intimate, boho beach wedding vibes. We went with this vibe as we wanted a more spiritual wedding rather than religious. It was a perfect theme to tie our ceremony and party together but we didn’t go to over the top with it, it was very low key. The beach and setting done most of the work and we added entertainment. The wedding planner done a great job at bringing it all together.

Location and how you found it?

We got married on the island where Jordan proposed. We knew right away we wanted to bring our family to the island to share its magic with them. The Villa was 5 minutes walk from where Jordan proposed. The wedding planner found the villa for us and it was perfect for the intimated wedding we wanted on the beach.

How did you find The Wedding Club? Tell us about that moment when you found and chose your dress – how did it make you feel when you put it on for the first time?

I knew TWC was for me because my favourite designers where Berta, Milla Nova and Rue de Seine. I did think I would go with Rue de Siene as I absolutely love the bohemian vibe however my first fitting was arranged for South Kensington which has Milla Nova. The first dress I tried on I got, which was Milla. I absolutely loved it! Then I cancelled the Rue de Siene fitting at Birmingham as I found the dress right away.

Where is the suit from? Why was it the perfect fit?

My husband Jordan absolutely loves a bargain and a good deal, so I left him to his own devices and 2 weeks before the wedding we went to go for his suit which unbeknown to me he had been getting fittings from a bootleg sales men at the back of a storage unit!

It was the wrong colour, wrong size, wrong fit, it was awful. So, I stepped in, we went to Boss and found him a suit which he loved and looked amazing in. Had I not went that day to pick up the suit he had planned I honestly think he would have rocked up in the knock off suit with no care in the world.

Did you have speeches? Who performed them?

We had speeches from both our Dads, Jordan’s uncle Dennis, Jordan’s best man Dan and his friend Joe as well as my sister and bridesmaids Hannah and Robyn. All the speeches where hilarious and heartwarming! Jordan’s nephew Alfie kept joining in on everyone’s stories which had people laughing their heads off. The speeches where short and sweet!

How was the party?

Our party was crazy. The planner told me herself we had the best party crew. Soon as mine and Jordan’s first dance finished the dance floor was filled the whole night. We also had aerialist performers and fire breathers which I just loved! Our DJ was amazing and everyone was having dance offs, it really was like a scene from the hangover film on the wedding movie! We didn’t cut the cake, it ended up being a cake fight after we all jumped in the pool so yeah it got messy but we loved it.

Did you have a first dance? What song did you choose and why? How was the performance?

Yes, we had a first dance.

Jordan is amazing with music, he’s like a jukebox so he came up with the song which was ‘Stuck On You’ by Elvis.  We decided the song on the flight to Mexico. Me being a professional dancer and Jordan loving dance too we created a little choreography a couple of nights before the wedding.

I actually love dancing with Jordan so it was one of the highlights of my wedding. I think he was nervous about the first dance so just after the speeches before he had time to think I told the planner to go now and we just done it straight away so he didn’t have time to think about it.

One moment you’ll never forget:

There’s so many moments from the wedding that will stick in my mind but mainly just the relief I felt when the rain stopped! I choose the month and island for the good weather, it never rains. Then 15 minutes before I was supposed to get my dress on for pre photos the heavens opened and there was a power cut on the island.

I have no idea what chaos was going on for the wedding planner setting up but me and Jordan where in separate rooms of course. Later I found out he was panicking so much but me and my lot where pretty chilled. We took it as a sign of good luck. Once the rain stopped we had the ceremony only 30 minutes later but I will never forget the emotions! It was such a build up as so much was going wrong, just walking down the beach towards Jordan and meeting eyes for the first time was amazing! Like, yes this is really happening.
