Annabelle and Harry tied the knot on the beautiful island of Ibiza, the pair celebrated with their nearest and dearest on a day full of special tributes to their love story! Join us to hear all the lovely details…

How did you meet?

We met for dinner at Luca in Clerkenwell.

Was it love at first sight?

Yes along with plenty of Aperol Spritz and him serenading me to Let There Be Love by Nat King Cole – which ended up being our first dance!

Who proposed and how? Lovely details, please!

Harry proposed with an antique engagement ring in our home on Christmas Eve 2023, just the two of us after he made us breakfast. It was perfect.

Did you have a theme for your wedding? How did it come about?

The theme was pale blue and yellow. Pale blue was my grandmother’s favourite colour and yellow is mine. 

We wanted a mixture of florals that my grandmother had in her garden, along with wildflowers to give it a secret garden vibe. We love fairy lights and candles too, so lots of those. 

Harry was born in Japan and my mum is Burmese, so our celebrant Luke, (Harry’s best friend) wove in both Burmese and Japanese wedding traditions too which was so special. 

We had a negroni cart (Harry’s favourite cocktail) and an aperol cart (my favourite cocktail) to add some more of our personalities into the day too. 

Location and how you found it? 

Ca na Xica in Ibiza. Ibiza is a very special place for us, we go a lot as a couple. Belen the manager there is fantastic and was so helpful to us from start to finish. It’s paradise! 

How did you find The Wedding Club? Tell us about that moment when you found and chose your dress – how did it make you feel when you put it on for the first time?

I found the Wedding Club through firstly finding my dream dress online (in the excitement of getting engaged I started looking at wedding dresses and immediately fell in love with one). The wedding club was the only stockist of it. But when I got there it wasn’t in store yet so I tried on loads of beautiful dresses and was close to buying another one… however when I came in to get that dress, this one was in stock and I tried it on and knew immediately. It felt right and when my mum cried it was a really special moment. My mum bought me the dress, and I feel so lucky to have had that memory with her. There was only ever one dress for me! 

Which designer did you wear?

Berta!

Where is the suit from? Why was it the perfect fit?

Harry’s suit was from Lawrence & Winslade Bespoke. Made by one of Harry’s best friends, Jack, as his wedding gift to him. He also made matching suits for the best men, groomsmen and Harry’s dad. It was really special. 

Jack has also designed suits for other friends and their grooms! 

Did you have speeches? Who performed them?

The speeches were given by Harry, my sister, and Harry’s brothers. My two best friends Victoria and Liv were MC’s for the day!

Did you have a first dance? What song did you choose and why? How was the performance?

We did our first dance to the song that Harry sang to me drunkenly on our first date! Let There Be Love by Nat King Cole.

How was the party?

That led into bongos, dancing and cold fireworks! For part of the night we had Harry’s brother Tobias, djing for us which was really cool too.
 

Wedding planning advice for brides to be?

To enjoy every second as much as you can, it goes by so fast. To appreciate and take in that your friends and family have all made such an effort to celebrate you, which is a once in a lifetime experience. To be okay when not everything goes as you perhaps thought, your day is amazing no matter what!

One moment you’ll never forget:
The moment Harry and I saw each other when I walked down the aisle.
Before my grandmother passed away I promised I’d walk down the aisle to The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. A harpist and violinist played this and it was such a beautiful moment. I will treasure it for the rest of my life!
