One thing you can’t live without when you begin the design process?

The story behind the moment. Understanding the intimate details of the occasion, its meaning, atmosphere, and sentiment, becomes the foundation of how I design. It is these details that guide my creative process and allow the gown to capture the essence of the moment with intention and beauty.

Can you tell us the inspirations behind Cappellazzo’s overall style?

I have a real pursuit to capture timeless modern elegance through intricate detailing and an authentic original interpretation. Sculpting exquisite fabrics into forms that feel both new and enduring is my signature to a design that remains unmistakably Cappellazzo.

If your style were a song/music genre, what would it be?

As Cappellazzo has so many various audio triggers and many emotions ranging from Celine Dion’s joint performance with the Swedish House Mafia to Ennio Morricone with a touch of George Michael and the cool modern edge of Dua Lipa.

Do you have a particular piece that you favour the most?

I adore the structural interpretation softened by the delicacy of lace. Our Francesca gown has a modern spirit with a sense of timelessness, it has been thoughtfully designed for a particular woman in mind. How do you make the final decision on the colour palette?

The colour palette is always led by my instinct. My intuitive response to mood andemotion. It begins with exploring and dissecting fabric houses, then organically evolves into a curated harmony of fabric, design, and atmosphere.

 What has changed as your designs have evolved?

The finer smallest of details. It can be the subtlest curve refined into a more harmonious balance, or a proportion reimagined to create a new sense of ease and design. Quiet shifts complete and elevate a design.

Can you describe the Cappellazzo bride in three words? What do they all have in common?

Sophisticated, timeless, modern.
